Yeshua
August 12, 2009.

Yeshua is the modern transliteration of the Hebrew for Jesus, although there is no scholarly consensus on whether this was actually Jesus' name.

The name Yeshua, used to refer to Jesus, is a way for Messianic Jews to emphasize the Jewishness of Jesus, and for Christian Zionists to signal their support of Jews who support evangelical theology regarding end times and Israel.
