gentile
Generally the word "gentile" means non-Jew.
Gentilis is a Latin term, and was used by Romans when talking about people who were not Roman citizens; it had a pejorative sense. In the Latin version of the Bible, the Vulgate, the word was used to refer to non-Israelite peoples, but the word is not a direct translation of any Greek or Hebrew word, so its biblical sense has been debated.
Mormons, in an insiderish way, refer to fellow Mormons as "saints" and everyone else, Jews included, as gentiles.
