hagiography
Hagiography is writing about the lives of saints or holy people.
It has been a very popular literary genre in Christianity, as lives and legends of the saints have been used to instruct, as well as to entertain.
If a biography is referred to as 'hagiographic' it simply means that the writer has taken an overly reverential posture toward her subject.
